Hello Choir Members! Please be in the conference/choir room at 8:30 am for prayer. We are wearing solid blue shirts (ANY shade!), black pants, and comfortable shoes. Make sure you are respectful of others and do not wear strong perfumes or colognes. Please be in a spirit of worship when you arrive! We are excited to bring the praise and worship for BOTH services, 9 am and 11 am. We are looking forward to seeing The Glory of The Lord manifest! See you there!!!

Glory to God WAIO Choir! The Annointing came and The Holy Spirit showed up! Multitudes of people worshiped God with us and He deserves ALL THE GLORY!!! Thank you for your AWESOME commitment and exceptional hard work! It was noticed, honored, and truly appreciated! Most of all, a special thanks to our Annointed Choir Director Dr. Erminel Trescott for her patience, love, and dedication to lead us into God's best for HIS Glory! We couldn't have done it without you!!!

There will be NO Choir practice this week!!! Stay tuned to this blog for future notices.....

OK Choir Members, we are in the last stretch! We have only ONE official practice left before we sing on Sunday, November 20th, 2011! This practice is set for Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 5 pm in the Sanctuary with the band. Please be sure to initial the attendance sheet when you come in. If you are working, then come in as soon as you get off from work and come straight to the stage. We are truly worshipping God for WHO HE IS! See you there!

New Rehearsal Time!!!

Hello Choir Members! Can you feel the excitement in the air? God is doing a NEW THING with the Word Alive Choir!!!
We now have a NEW rehearsal time and place for next Wednesday, November 9th, 2011:
5 pm ON STAGE in the Sanctuary with the full band! PLEASE BE ON TIME IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!! For everyone who will be coming after work, come to the stage and be ready to flow with the worship in progress! Make sure you initial the choir sign in sheet so Dr. Trescott knows you were there!
Don't forget that our first services, returning to sing, will be Sunday, November 20th, 2011 in BOTH 9 am and 11 am services. Dr. Erminel Trescott will give specific instructions about these services during the next two practices, so it is very important to attend both practices.
Come ready to praise and worship God with all your heart, soul, and voice! What fun it is to celebrate Jesus together!!!

Getting Ready To SING!!!

Hello Choir Members! We are getting ready to sing! When? Sunday, November 20, 2011 BOTH 9 & 11 am SERVICES! Practice times are still EVERY Wednesday at 5:30 pm in the Conference Room behind the Sanctuary.
Our new choir director, Dr. Erminel Trescott, has stated that the dress code for choir members is to wear ALL black on the day we sing. No flashy jewelry or anything to distract from singing unto God. No sleeveless shirts, shorts, or short skirts, please. Remember, we are standing on a large stage with bright lights and video cameras watching us glorify God! She also suggests VERY comfortable shoes to stand and sing in because we will not be removing them at any time. Also, please be aware of other choir members who are sensitive to and even allergic to perfume. I hope that you will be understanding and considerate of this! Of course we want you to use deodorant, but sometimes, cologne or perfume can be equally as offensive. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and commitment to make this the best choir yet!
There's still room to join the choir if you haven't! We could really use a few good men to sing Tenor and Bass, so come on in to choir practice the next 3 weeks! This will be the last opportunity to join before we sing on November 20th. PLEASE NOTE: We will practice with the full band and all musicians on November 9th and 16th at 5 pm in the Sanctuary. Spread the word and come ready to WORSHIP!

Choir Practice!!!

Calling all choir members! Don't forget choir practice at 5:30 pm every Wednesday in the conference room behind the sanctuary! Dr. Erminel Trescott is working on several songs for us to sing. All four parts are needed: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass. Be prepared to worship -- especially in practice! The Holy Spirit is moving during practice and many lives are already being touched! Come on Jesus!

Friday, August 5th, the Word Alive Praise Team will be opening for Charles Billingsley at Will's Way in Roanoke, AL at 6pm http://willsway.org/html/home.shtml

Sunday, August 7th, Brian and Ramey Whalen will be leading worship for all three Word Alive Sunday Services - 9am, 11am, and 6pm

Sunday, August 14th, Debi O'Donnell and the WAIO Celebrate Recovery Band will be leading worship for all three Word Alive Sunday Services - 9am, 11am, and 6pm

The Word Alive Choir will be back in action for services of Sunday, September 4th. Rehearsal will be Wednesday, August 31st after prayer service in the main sanctuary.
